Dear Friends,

We are excited to introduce ourselves to you today. We are the new directors in the Stewardship and Development Office for the Diocese. Scott Fenley joins the diocesan staff as the new Executive Director of Stewardship & Development and The U.P. Catholic Foundation, Inc. Megan O'Connor begins a new position in our diocese as Director of Missionary Stewardship.

Scott is the new Executive Director of Stewardship and Development and The Upper Peninsula Catholic Foundation, Inc. Scott, a US NAVY veteran, joins the diocese from Northland Lawn Sport & Equipment, where he was an Outside Sales Representative. His background is in Sales, Project Management, and Training. He holds an M.B.A. with a focus on International Business and a Bachelor of Science in Leadership & Management. He will work closely with the Bishop, senior diocesan staff, pastors, parishioners, and community members to promote programs that improve the Diocese of Marquette. He will be responsible for overall stewardship education and fund development for the Diocese, including the Upper Peninsula Catholic Services Appeal (UPCSA), the UP Catholic Foundation (UPCF), and the Legacy of Faith (LOF) endowment program.

Megan will focus on outreach throughout the Diocese of Marquette through UPCSA, the UPCF, #iGiveCatholic, and more! Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northern Michigan University. She comes to us most recently from the Lake Superior Community Partnership, where she was the Outreach and Development Specialist. You may know Megan from her years of cantoring at St. Peter Cathedral. When Megan isn’t working for the diocese, you can find her volunteering, playing her harp, or planning her wedding that will take place this fall at St. Peter’s Cathedral. Says Megan, “I am honored to be selected to serve the Diocese of Marquette. Accepting the role of the Director of Missionary Stewardship is more than a career move; it's a commitment to serve, inspire, and contribute to a higher purpose. I am asking for your prayers as I begin this new chapter that will be a testament to faith, compassion, and the profound impact we can make when guided by the principles of God’s love, service, and devotion to a greater calling."
