Christmas Greetings

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
In 1865, English author William Dix wrote the lyrics to the Christmas hymn, "What Child is This?" and I have arranged it for guitar. Mr. Dix wrote these lyrics after a time of spiritual awakening in his own life. At the age of 29 he contracted a very serious illness. This led to a lot of soul searching on his part. He began to read more of the sacred scriptures and his faith in Jesus Christ was kindled.
In this Christmas hymn, the opening question "What child is this?" is a question put to all of us. Who is Jesus Christ in our life? He is our Lord and Savior. He came to save us from our sins. He is the fulfillment of our hope.
